solid (noun)
A solid is a substance or object that stays in the same shape and size. It is one of the three main states of matter, distinct from liquids and gases.
"Ice is a solid, but water is a liquid."
Think of 'SOLid' as 'STAYing' in its shape. Both start with 'S'. A solid stays the same.
Using 'solid' for liquids that are thick. → Honey is a thick liquid, not a solid.
Saying 'do me some solids'. → Do me a solid.
