Choosing Interface Language and Learning Languages

SubLearn separates the language of the site interface from the languages you study. That keeps the app readable while letting you manage one or more learning languages independently.

Choosing Interface Language and Learning Languages

SubLearn separates the language of the site interface from the languages you study. That keeps the app readable while letting you manage one or more learning languages independently.

Interface Language

Interface Language controls the language used for navigation, labels, help pages, and other site chrome. You choose it during onboarding, and the language switcher in the header or footer changes the site locale later if you want to work in another supported interface language.

Your Languages

Your Languages is where you manage the languages you are actively learning. This is separate from the interface language, so you can study a target language while keeping the site itself in the UI language that feels most comfortable.

  • Add Language lets you attach a new learning language to your account.
  • Your Languages shows the languages already connected to your learning setup.
  • Each learning language can keep its own level, recommendations, and practice flow.

Adding a Learning Language

During onboarding you choose the first language you want to study. After that, you can add more from the language-management surfaces attached to your account and continue building your study setup over time.

When you add a language, SubLearn also asks for your current level or offers a placement check so recommendations and exercises start closer to the right difficulty.

Switching the Site Locale

If you want to change the interface later, use the public language switcher. This updates the website language without changing the learning languages already connected to your account.
