Getting started with SubLearn
Start by creating an account, choosing the language you want to study, and selecting a level that feels close to your present ability.
Dashboard overview
Your dashboard is the signed-in starting point for your learning. It brings together the study information and shortcuts available to your account.
Navigation Guide
SubLearn connects public discovery pages, help content, and the signed-in learning area, so you can browse content, manage your setup, and review progress from one service.
Setting Goals
Set a learning goal during onboarding, then use Learning Goals in the signed-in app to create, review, and update goals as your routine changes.
Choosing Interface Language and Learning Languages
SubLearn separates the language of the site interface from the languages you study. That keeps the app readable while letting you manage one or more learning languages independently.
Understanding CEFR Levels
The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is the six-level scale used across SubLearn to describe starting ability, recommend content, and explain placement-test results.
Watching Videos on SubLearn
Video learning brings subtitles, quick lookups, and follow-on study actions together in one place.
Using Interactive Subtitles
Video pages can include subtitles and vocabulary tools. The controls available depend on the current video and device.
Building Vocabulary
Vocabulary growth on SubLearn comes from the live learning surfaces rather than from a separate personal list-building console. The app does not currently expose a custom My Lists builder or a full self-serve export workflow.
Flashcard review
Use Vocabulary Review to revisit words you have saved while studying. The page shows your saved words with their definition, language, and an example sentence when one is available.
Reading Mode
Reading Mode is available from the signed-in learning area for accounts with access. It gives you a focused place to work through reading material at your own pace.
Learning paths
Learning Paths lets signed-in learners browse structured learning content and open a path that fits their interests and level.
Sentence builder
Sentence Builder is a signed-in exercise for arranging words into a sentence.
Matching pairs
Matching Pairs is a signed-in exercise for connecting words or phrases with the matching translation or meaning.
Dictation practice
Dictation Practice is a signed-in exercise that lets you listen closely and write what you hear.
Conversation practice
Conversation Practice is a signed-in exercise for rehearsing a short exchange in a language you study.
Boss battle
Boss Battle is a quiz-style exercise in the signed-in learning area. It is a useful way to check what you remember after studying videos, vocabulary, or other lessons.
Shadowing practice
Shadowing is a speaking practice method: listen to a short piece of speech, then repeat it aloud while copying its rhythm and phrasing.
XP and leveling
XP is shown in the signed-in learning experience as a record of activity. Use it as a simple progress signal alongside the work you actually complete.
Achievements and badges
Achievements give you a record of learning milestones in the signed-in app. Open Achievements from the navigation to see the badges and progress available to your account.
Streaks and goals
Streaks and goals can help you make regular study time visible. Open Learning Goals in the signed-in app to create, review, or update a goal.
Leaderboard
Open Leaderboard from the signed-in navigation to see the rankings available to you. Use it as a light source of motivation, then return to your own study plan.
Progress tracking
Your dashboard and account pages bring together the learning activity available for your account. Use them to notice what you have studied and choose a sensible next step.
Profile Customization
Open Profile, then choose Edit Profile or Settings to update the account details available to you.
Subscription & Billing
Open Billing & Subscription from your signed-in account to review your plan, compare available options, and manage payment details.
Notifications Settings
Use the bell in the signed-in header to open your notifications. The page lists your account's updates and lets you mark them all as read.
Dark Mode
Use the theme button in the site header to choose the appearance that is easiest on your eyes.
AI conversation practice
AI Conversation Practice lets you rehearse everyday situations in a learning language you have added to your account. It is available from Learn for accounts with access to the feature.
Spaced repetition
Spaced repetition is a study habit: return to a word or phrase after time has passed, especially when it is still difficult to recall. Vocabulary Review gives you a place to keep that practice regular.
Content Creation
SubLearn is designed for learning with the videos, vocabulary, grammar, and exercises already available in the app.
Keyboard Shortcuts
SubLearn does not publish a separate, product-wide shortcut reference. Use the standard controls exposed by your browser, operating system, and media player.
Accessibility Features
SubLearn aims to keep the public site, help center, video playback, and signed-in learning flows usable with standard browser and device accessibility tools.
