Describing someone or something that is eager to win or be more successful than others. It can also refer to a situation where there is a strong desire from multiple parties to achieve the same goal or obtain the same thing.
Think of a 'PET' in a 'COMPETition'. The pet wants to win the trophy! COM-PET-ITIVE.
He is very competition. → He is very competitive.
The price is competent. → The price is competitive.
