flag (noun, verb)
A flag is a piece of cloth, typically rectangular and attached by one edge to a pole or rope, used as the symbol or emblem of a country or institution. As a verb, it means to mark an item for attention or to become tired, weaker, or less enthusiastic.
"The American flag has fifty stars."
