fluid (noun / adjective)
A substance that has no fixed shape and yields easily to external pressure; a gas or (especially) a liquid. Also used as an adjective to describe something that is not settled or stable, or capable of flowing freely.
"The doctor told him to rest and drink plenty of fluids."
Think of a 'FL-ow' in a 'U-nit' of 'ID-entity'. FLUID. It flows, it's a unit of matter, and it describes identity.
