Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

Use the particle 'ли' immediately after the verb to turn a statement into a yes/no question.

  • Place 'ли' right after the verb: 'Ти спиш ли?' (Are you sleeping?)
  • Use it for yes/no questions only: 'Той идва ли?' (Is he coming?)
  • It does not change the word order of the original sentence: 'Ти четеш ли книга?'
