Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

Armenian is a phonetic language; read it exactly as it is written, letter by letter, from left to right.

  • Each letter represents one primary sound: 'ա' is always 'ah' as in 'father'.
  • No silent letters: Pronounce every single letter you see in a word.
