Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

Use the Dative Case (-ға/-ге/-қа/-ке) to show movement towards a destination or the recipient of an action.

  • Add -ға/-ге after vowels and voiced consonants: үйге (to the house).
  • Add -қа/-ке after voiceless consonants: мектепке (to school).
  • Use it for recipients: маған (to me), саған (to you).

Meanings

The Dative case (Barys septik) indicates the direction of movement or the target/recipient of an action.
