Coordinating conjunctions like 'және' (and), 'немесе' (or), and 'бірақ' (but) link words or clauses to make your sentences flow naturally.
- Use 'және' to join two similar items: 'Алма және алмұрт' (Apple and pear).
- Use 'бірақ' to show contrast: 'Мен бардым, бірақ ол жоқ еді' (I went, but he wasn't there).
- Use 'немесе' to offer a choice: 'Шай немесе кофе?' (Tea or coffee?).
Meanings
Coordinating conjunctions are words that connect two words, phrases, or independent clauses of equal grammatical rank.
Addition
Used to add information or items together.
“Ол әдемі және ақылды.”

Contrast
Used to introduce a statement that contrasts with what has just been said.
“Күн жылы, бірақ жел бар.”

Choice
Used to present alternatives.
