Lao motion verbs use a simple 'Verb + Direction' structure to clarify where you are going.
- Use 'ໄປ' (pai) for going away from the speaker: ຂ້ອຍໄປຕະຫຼາດ (I go to the market).
- Use 'ມາ' (ma) for coming toward the speaker: ລາວມາຫາຂ້ອຍ (He comes to me).
- Place the destination after the verb: ໄປໂຮງຮຽນ (Go to school).
