Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Embedding allows you to tuck one complete thought inside another using conjunctions like 'că', 'care', or 'dacă'.
- Use 'că' for objective statements: Știu că vine (I know that he is coming).
- Use 'care' for relative descriptions: Omul care vorbește (The man who is speaking).
- Use 'dacă' for indirect questions: Nu știu dacă vine (I don't know if he is coming).
Meanings
Clause embedding is the syntactic process of placing a dependent clause within a main clause to provide extra detail or context.
