A1 Expression तटस्थ

मतलब

Disagreeing with a statement

🌍

सांस्कृतिक पृष्ठभूमि

Directly telling someone they are wrong can be seen as aggressive. It is common to use 'Kechirasiz' (Excuse me) or 'Menimcha' (In my opinion) to soften the blow. If a host makes a mistake (e.g., gives you the wrong tea), guests often won't say 'Bu noto'g'ri' to avoid embarrassing the host. They might just drink it or wait for the host to notice. In the bazaar, 'Bu noto'g'ri' is used frequently and more directly when discussing prices and weights. It is part of the 'game' of bargaining. In Uzbek schools, students are encouraged to be very precise. 'Noto'g'ri' is a standard, non-offensive feedback from teachers to students.

💡

Use 'Menimcha'

Always add 'Menimcha' (In my opinion) before 'bu noto'g'ri' to sound more polite and less aggressive.

⚠️

Avoid with Elders

Be very careful using this directly with people much older than you; it can be seen as a lack of 'andisha'.
