In Azerbaijani, you don't 'have' things; things 'exist' at your location.
- Use the locative case (-da/-də) for the possessor: 'Məndə' (At me).
- Use 'var' for affirmative possession: 'Məndə kitab var' (I have a book).
- Use 'yox' for negative possession: 'Məndə kitab yoxdur' (I don't have a book).
