The Present Passive Participle (-amas, -ima)

Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

Use -amas or -ima to describe something being acted upon right now, turning verbs into descriptive adjectives.

  • These participles must agree in gender, number, and case with the noun they describe.
Verb stem + (-amas/-ima) = Passive Adjective (e.g., Knyga (noun) + skaitoma (participle))
