  • Noun + -(ы)м / -(і)м
  • Noun + -(ы)ң / -(і)ң
  • Noun + -(ы) / -(і) or -сы / -сі

Häufige Fehler

In Kazakh, you cannot just use the pronoun 'менің' (my). You MUST also attach the suffix to the noun. The pronoun is actually optional, but the suffix is mandatory.

Wrong: Менің кітап
Richtig: Менің кітабым

When a word ends in 'қ' or 'п' and you add a suffix starting with a vowel, the consonant must soften (қ -> ғ, п -> б).

Wrong: Мысықым
Richtig: Мысығым

For 3rd person (his/her), if the noun ends in a vowel like 'ана', you must use the -сы/-сі suffix, not just -ы/-і, to avoid two vowels clashing.

Wrong: Анаы
Richtig: Анасы
