Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

The -a/-e/-y suffix expresses future actions or general habits; remember to match the vowel harmony of the verb stem.

  • Use -ar/-er/-r for stems ending in consonants or vowels: 'bar' (go) -> 'barar' (will go).
  • Use -a/-e for specific verb classes: 'keler' (will come).
  • Negative forms use 'me/be/pe' + 'i/y' + 'di': 'barmaid' (will not go).
Verb Stem + Suffix (-ar/-er/-r) + Personal Ending
