In Turkey, tea is brewed in a 'çaydanlık'. The bottom part contains 'sıcak su' which boils and steams the tea leaves in the top part. The 'sıcaklık' is the hottest room in a hamam, where 'sıcak su' flows from marble basins called 'kurna'. Offering water to a guest is a sign of respect.
