Learners often use 'emes' with verbs. In Kazakh, verbs carry their own negative suffix (-ma/-me).

Wrong: Men barmay emespin.
Correct: Men barmaymyn.

Forgetting to add the personal ending after the negative suffix. 'Jeme' is a command, 'jemim' is a statement.

Wrong: Men alma jeme.
Correct: Men alma jemim.

In Kazakh, 'Esh-' words MUST be paired with a negative verb. You cannot have a positive verb with 'never'.
