While تختخواب is 'bed,' you wouldn't directly translate 'to go to bed' as رفتن به تختخواب (raftan be takht-khaab). The more natural and idiomatic way to say 'to go to bed' in Persian is خوابیدن (khaabidan), which means 'to sleep,' or رفتن به رختخواب (raftan be rakht-khaab), which literally means 'to go to bedding/bedclothes,' but is understood as 'to go to bed' in the sense of preparing to sleep.

Using رفتن به تختخواب might be understood, but it sounds less natural to a native Persian speaker. It's like saying 'I am going to the bed-furniture' instead of 'I am going to bed.'

§ Plural Form

The plural form of تختخواب is تختخواب‌ها (takht-khaab-haa). This is a straightforward addition of the plural suffix -ها (-haa). There isn't a common irregular plural form you need to worry about here, which is a relief!
