Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Telling time in Kazakh uses the structure [Hour] + [Minute] + [Verb/Suffix] to describe the current moment.
- Use the nominative case for the hour: 'Сағат бес' (It is five o'clock).
- Add minutes after the hour: 'Сағат бес он' (It is 5:10).
- Use 'жарым' for half-past: 'Сағат бес жарым' (It is 5:30).
