Using Comparatives with Adverbs: More Quickly
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
To compare adverbs in Armenian, simply place the word 'ավելի' (aveli) before the adverb.
- Use 'ավելի' + adverb to say 'more [adverb]ly'. Example: 'ավելի արագ' (more quickly).
- Use 'քան' (qan) to compare with another person or thing. Example: 'ավելի արագ, քան դու'.
- For negative comparisons, use 'ոչ այնքան' (voch aynqan) + adverb.
