Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
In Norwegian, the verb must always be the second element in a main clause.
- The verb is always the second element: 'I today eat' (Jeg i dag spiser).
- If you start with time or place, the subject moves after the verb: 'Today eat I'.
- Questions often start with the verb: 'Eat you now?'
