Imperfective verbs describe ongoing, repeated, or habitual actions without a specific end point in mind.

  • Use for habits: 'Svaki dan čitam knjigu' (I read a book every day).
  • Use for ongoing actions: 'Dok sam šetao, padao je sneg' (While I was walking, it was snowing).
  • Use for descriptions: 'Vreme je bilo lepo' (The weather was nice).
