Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use the Past Perfect to describe an action that was already finished before another past event happened.
- Use the imperfect of 'съм' (бях, беше...) as the helper verb. Example: 'Бях тръгнал' (I had left).
- Add the past active participle (-л form) of the main verb. Example: 'бях чел' (I had read).
- The participle must match the subject's gender and number. Example: 'тя беше чела' (she had read).
