Tea is often served in 'Armudu' glasses in some regions, though porcelain is more common now. It is never served alone; expect jam, nuts, or pastries. In Yerevan's modern cafes, 'Tak t'ey' might be replaced by specialized herbal blends from the mountains, often called 'Gughakan t'ey' (Village tea). In Artsakh, tea is frequently made with wild thyme (urts), which is believed to have healing properties. In the Diaspora, tea culture often blends with the local culture (like Lebanese or French), but the core phrase 'Tak t'ey' remains a linguistic anchor.
