Russian uses suffixes rather than 'более' (more) for most simple adjectives. Avoid translating 'more' literally.

Wrong: Этот дом более большой.

While 'меня' can work in some contexts, using 'чем' + pronoun makes the comparison explicitly clear for A2 learners.

Wrong: Он быстрее меня.
Richtig: Он быстрее, чем я.

You must use the comparative form (лучше), not the base adjective (хороший), when using 'чем'.

Wrong: Это хороший чем то.
Richtig: Это лучше, чем то.
