Most bathrooms are 'wet rooms'. Don't be surprised if the whole floor is wet after someone showers. There is usually a drain in the floor. In the countryside, the 'Bantub Tuk' might be a separate small building outside the main house. It might contain a large water jar and a plastic scoop (gandaol) for bathing. In cities, modern malls like AEON have very high-tech 'Bantub Onamay' with Japanese-style toilets, but the term 'Bantub Tuk' is still used to find them. When visiting a Pagoda (Wat), the bathrooms are usually located in a separate block. It is polite to leave your shoes outside if the floor is kept dry, but usually, you wear 'bathroom sandals'.
