Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Croatian nouns change their endings based on gender; most masculine end in consonants, feminine in -a, and neuter in -o or -e.
- Masculine nouns usually end in a consonant: 'stol' (table).
- Feminine nouns usually end in -a: 'žena' (woman).
- Neuter nouns usually end in -o or -e: 'selo' (village) or 'more' (sea).
