You usually drop this line at the end of a conversation. It’s like the verbal equivalent of handing someone your business card or asking for their Instagram handle. You can use it as a standalone question or pair it with a reason. For example, you might say, "I loved your ideas, ممكن نتواصل؟" It works perfectly in person, but you’ll also see it in LinkedIn messages or emails when someone wants to move a professional chat forward. Just remember to have your phone or business card ready right after you say it!

Use it when you've met someone interesting at a coffee shop and want to be friends. Use it at a professional conference after a great networking session. It’s also perfect for follow-ups. If you’re texting someone you haven't spoken to in a while, you can use it to ask if they have time for a call. It’s the ultimate "social lubricant" that makes transitioning from a stranger to an acquaintance feel natural and smooth.

Don't use this with a complete stranger who is clearly in a hurry or looks uncomfortable. If you shout this across a busy street to someone you've never met, it will definitely feel a bit "creepy." If you want to sound very modern and tech-savvy, you could even say ممكن نتواصل على الواتساب؟ (Can we connect on WhatsApp?), which is the most common way people actually communicate today.
