Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use 'щях да' + verb to describe an intention you had in the past that didn't happen.
- Use 'щях да' + imperfective verb for general past plans: 'Щях да уча' (I was going to study).
- Add 'не' before 'щях' for negative unfulfilled intentions: 'Не щях да ходя' (I didn't intend to go).
- The verb following 'да' must be in the present tense form: 'Щях да купя' (I was going to buy).
