Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

Use the Locative case after prepositions like 'o' (about) and 'u/na' (in/on) to describe topics or static locations.

  • Use 'o' + Locative to talk about a topic: 'Pričamo o filmu' (We are talking about the movie).
  • Use 'u' or 'na' + Locative for static location: 'Ja sam u školi' (I am at school).
  • Most masculine and neuter nouns end in '-u' in the Locative case.
Preposition (o/u/na) + Noun (Locative ending) = Topic or Place
