運営をする

You use this phrase primarily with organizations, events, or systems. It’s very common in business and community contexts. You’ll often see it as a noun-verb pair: サイトの運営をする (run a website) or 大会の運営をする (manage a tournament). It’s professional but not stiff. You can use it when talking about your side project or your multi-million dollar company. Just remember: it’s about the *process* of running things, not just the ownership.

Imagine you're starting a YouTube channel with friends. You might say, 三人でチャンネルの運営をしています (The three of us are running the channel). Or, if you're volunteering at a local anime convention, you're part of the 運営スタッフ (management staff). In a gaming context, the people who run the servers and ban the trolls are the 運営 (the admins). If you're complaining about a buggy game, you might tweet, 運営、しっかりして！ (Admins, get it together!).

Reach for this phrase whenever you’re talking about the "how" of a project. It’s perfect for job interviews when you want to explain your leadership roles.
