Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use 'Vai' at the very beginning of a sentence to turn a statement into a yes/no question.
- Place 'Vai' at the start: 'Vai tu ej?' (Are you going?)
- No word order change is required: 'Vai tu esi mājās?' (Are you at home?)
- Use it for yes/no questions only, not for 'who/what/where' questions: 'Vai tas ir suns?' (Is that a dog?)
