Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
The Nominative case is the 'dictionary form' of a noun, used primarily to identify the subject performing the action.
- Use the Nominative for the subject: 'Տղան (The boy) կարդում է' (The boy is reading).
- No special ending is added to the root word in the Nominative case.
- It is the form you find in the dictionary for every Armenian noun.
