Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

Common nouns in Kazakh name people, places, or things and do not require articles, making them simple to use.

  • Common nouns are not capitalized unless at the start of a sentence: 'кітап' (book).
  • They do not have grammatical gender, so no need to memorize masculine or feminine forms.
  • Pluralization is simple: add -лар/-лер/-дар/-дер/-тар/-тер depending on the last letter.
