In Kazakh, when you do something to an object, you add a suffix (-ny, -ni, -dy, -di, -ty, -ti) to it.

  • Use -ny/-ni after vowels: Alma -> Almany (the apple).
  • Use -dy/-di after voiced consonants: Kitap -> Kitapti (the book).
  • Use -ty/-ti after voiceless consonants: Mektep -> Mektepti (the school).
