Formal (Protocolar)
Used in official settings, with strangers, or people significantly older. Requires 'dumneavoastră' and plural verb agreement.

Both use the same verb form, but 'voi' is for multiple friends, while 'dumneavoastră' is for one or more formal contacts.

Smart Tips
Always default to the plural verb. Even if you forget 'dumneavoastră', the plural verb shows you are trying to be polite.
Use 'Stimate Domnule' or 'Stimată Doamnă' followed by the last name. Never use the first name in a first contact.
The adjective must match the actual gender of the person, even if the verb is plural.
Use 'Vă rog' at the end of sentences rather than the beginning to sound more natural.
