Thai vowels (Sara) are symbols that attach to consonants to change their sound, and they can appear before, after, above, or below.
- Vowels can be placed before the consonant: เ- (e) as in เ-ก (e-k).
- Vowels can be placed after the consonant: -า (aa) as in ก-า (gaa).
- Vowels can be placed above or below: -ิ (i) or -ุ (u) as in กิ (gi) or กุ (gu).
