Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

In Bulgarian, the future tense uses 'ще' + the verb, but you must choose between perfective (one-time) and imperfective (ongoing) aspects.

  • Use imperfective for ongoing actions: 'Ще чета' (I will be reading).
  • Use perfective for completed actions: 'Ще прочета' (I will read/finish reading).
  • The particle 'ще' remains unchanged for all persons.
