Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Express necessity in Bengali by using the infinitive verb form + 'হয়' (hoy) or 'আবশ্যক' (aboshshok).
- Use the infinitive verb (ending in -a) + 'হয়' for general necessity: 'যাওয়া হয়' (must go).
- Use 'আবশ্যক' for formal or written obligation: 'এটি করা আবশ্যক' (it is necessary to do this).
- For personal obligation, use the genitive case + 'হবে': 'আমার যেতে হবে' (I have to go).
