Clauses of Cause and Reason: Since, As, Because
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use 'քանի որ' (since/as) or 'որովհետև' (because) to link a result to its cause.
- Use 'որովհետև' (vorovhetev) for direct, objective reasons: 'Ուշացա, որովհետև ավտոբուսը չեկավ' (I was late because the bus didn't come).
- Use 'քանի որ' (kani vor) for logical deductions or formal explanations: 'Քանի որ անձրև էր գալիս, մնացինք տանը' (Since it was raining, we stayed home).
- Place the causal clause after the main clause for 'որովհետև' or at the start for 'քանի որ'.

Direct Cause
Explaining the specific reason for an event.
