The Reflexive Possessive Pronoun 'Svoj'
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use 'svoj' instead of 'my', 'your', 'his', or 'her' when the possessor is the same as the subject of the sentence.
- Use 'svoj' when the subject owns the object: 'Ja čitam svoju knjigu' (I am reading my own book).
- Do not use 'svoj' if the subject is not the owner: 'Ja čitam tvoju knjigu' (I am reading your book).
- It must agree in gender, number, and case with the object it describes.
