Reduced Relative Clauses: Omitting Relative Pronouns
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Replace 'որ' (that/which) clauses with active or passive participles to make your Armenian sound more natural and concise.
- Use the -ող participle for active clauses: 'Տղան, որ կարդում է' becomes 'Կարդացող տղան'.
- Use the -ած participle for past/perfective clauses: 'Գիրքը, որ գրել եմ' becomes 'Գրածս գիրքը'.
- Use the -ելի participle for potential/future clauses: 'Խնդիր, որ պետք է լուծվի' becomes 'Լուծելի խնդիր'.
