crewed (adjective)
Crewed describes a vehicle, aircraft, or vessel that is operated by a team of people on board. It is the opposite of uncrewed or autonomous, indicating that human presence is required for control or operation.
Think of a 'Crew' that 'Did' the work. Crew + ed = Crewed. If the crew is on the ship, the ship is crewed.
The mission was manned by five astronauts. → The mission was crewed by five astronauts.
The bus was crewed with passengers. → The bus was crowded with passengers.
