In Kazakh, you cannot just put the pronoun before the noun. You must use the possessive pronoun 'Менің' and the suffix '-м'.

Wrong: Мен әке (I father)
Richtig: Менің әкем (My father)

The suffix must match the pronoun. -ң is for 'your', while -м is for 'my'.

Wrong: Менің анаң (My your-mother)
Richtig: Менің анам (My mother)

Even if you use 'Менің', the noun still requires the possessive suffix to be grammatically complete.

Wrong: Менің аға (My older-brother - no suffix)
Richtig: Менің ағам (My older-brother)
