Beginners often forget the extra hook at the bottom of ಆ. This changes the word meaning entirely, like 'Appa' vs 'Āne'.
These letters look nearly identical. Remember that 'pa' has a gap at the top, while 'va' is a complete circle.
Forgetting the top stroke makes the script look incomplete and can sometimes change the letter into a different vowel combination.
