Making Simple Statements: Subject-Verb Agreement
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Armenian verbs change their endings based on who is doing the action; just drop the -el or -al and add the suffix!
- For -el verbs, use the -em, -es, -e, -enk, -ek, -en endings.
- For -al verbs, use the -am, -as, -a, -ank, -ak, -an endings.
- The subject pronoun (I, you, he/she) is often dropped because the verb ending tells you who it is.

This rule defines how to conjugate verbs in the present tense to express actions happening now or general truths.
