The Simple Future Tense Particle (မည် / မယ်)
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use 'မည်' (formal) or 'မယ်' (informal) after a verb to indicate an action that will happen in the future.
- Attach 'မယ်' directly to the verb stem: 'စား' (eat) + 'မယ်' = 'စားမယ်' (will eat).
- Use 'မည်' in formal writing or official announcements: 'သွားမည်' (will go).
- For negatives, add 'မ' before the verb and 'ဘူး' after: 'မစားဘူး' (will not eat).

Meanings
The particles 'မည်' and 'မယ်' are suffixes used to denote the future tense in Burmese, indicating an intention, prediction, or scheduled event.
