Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use the -miş suffix to talk about events you didn't witness yourself but heard from someone else.
- Use -miş for hearsay: 'O gəlib' (He came - I saw it) vs 'O gəlibmiş' (I heard he came).
- Attach -miş to the verb root after the tense marker if necessary.
- It adds a layer of distance, implying you are reporting information rather than stating a fact.
